Bacillus Subtilis

Bacillus subtilis is a type of bacteria found in the soil that is essential for plant growth. This bacteria is also referred to as B. subtilis var. nigeriensis, B. subtilis var. niger, or B. niger. The name Bacillus subtilis comes from the Latin for "Bacillus of the subtilis". This name is because the cells are shaped like long filaments.
