Common Palm Tree

An endangered palm tree is a tall, single-stemmed tree with a crown of large palm leaves. These leaves are a unique shape with a fan-shaped or saw-edged frond, which can be very large. They can be broad and flat, or long and narrow, and their edges can be smooth or toothed. The fronds grow in clusters of five to seven at the top of the tree. The leaves may have hairs on them that make them rough to the touch.
