Granisetron Injection

Granisetron is a type of anti-emetic used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting. It is a synthetic drug that blocks a neurotransmitter called serotonin in the brain. This serotonin is a chemical messenger that regulates nausea and vomiting. The drug can be taken by mouth, injected, or sprayed into the nose. Granisetron is most often prescribed for patients who have cancer and are undergoing chemotherapy, but it is also used to prevent and treat other conditions, such as chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, pregnancy, postoperative nausea and vomiting, and gastroenteritis.
